Best dining so far on the midcoast. We came early without a reservation, and they found a spot for us. Delicious raw bar with local oysters. Creative cocktails. Our entrees, sides and dessert were absolutely perfect. Excellent service.
Excellent food! Great atmosphere. The owners are clearly passionate and dedicated to creating amazing dishes in a beautiful space. Friendly, great service as well. Fresh local ingredients prepared with skill. Don't think about it, just go! We will be back.
Arrived one day and found it closed but opening in 30 minutes. No big deal. Had a question as I saw a lady and a man inside working so I knocked on the door. No response. Still there. Knocked again. Looked at me and couldn't be bothered. I then left and made a phone call 5 minutes later and it was not answered. Left a voicemail. Gave it a few hours. Nothing. Called again. No answer. Voicemail again. No response ever. Not that day, the next. That week. The next week. I ws trying to RSVP 12 people so I went to 40Paper instead. I guess when you ignore customers you lose business.
This is a delightful place to go and enjoy the energy of a bar and a restaurant and the cooks and people. The food is excellent the wine and the oysters superb. And tonight the full ocean experience blowing in. I go with four stars because I was alone.
I love 18 Central. The food is well prepared and sophisticated without being stuffy. It's a great bar dining experience as well as at a table. My one complaint, which I have with most restaurants in the area that have a busy bar and food scene, is that a service bartender would be extremely useful. Drinks took longer than the food.
